Music x Experimental Animation Programme USF |
A one hour animation programme for Kulturhuset USF that shows independant, innovative animations from makers all over the globe using novel approaches to filmmaking based on music, also referred to as "seeing sound" by the first 1950 era filmmakers when the possibily to merge film and audio became a new feature in filmmaking, followed by a genre of films that base their visual storytelling on music. |

Workshop series Digicraft that explores the use of new emerging digital methods such as 3d printing and lasercutting, together with traditional crafts such as pattern creation and embroidery. The aim of the project is to expand traditional crafts with innovative new tools and techiques. |

A screeningprogramme showing the latest approaches to moving-image making from around the world, this diverse selection of established and up-and-coming talents share an interest in transporting the viewer into the parallel realms of the fictional yet familiar. From augmented realities to fractal universes, from underground to outer space, from nostalgic bygone eras to not-so-distant futures and from the hand-drawn to the hyper-real. |

For workspace #1, Marieke Verbiesen invited the FURSR collective, who are creating multi-sensory artefacts related to the construction and social aspects of computer game culture, oftentimes altering the view on the relationship between humans and technology. |

For workspace #1, Marieke Verbiesen invited the Hotel Modern Collective, who blend visual art, puppetry, music, film and performance in expressive theatre productions. Scale models play an important role in their work, allowing Hotel Modern to view the world literally from a macro perspective. |

Machinima is the use of real-time computer graphics engines to create a cinematic production. Most often, video games are used to generate the computer animation. For the Holland Animation Film Festival, i put together a programme that features various game generated animations, from the Commodore 64 to the Playstation. |
